Christine S. - Shine Bright

Hi there, Christine S here.  How are you today? Kaisercraft has 3 A-Mazing collections for this month of February, which are Shine Bright, Wanderlust & Betsy's Couture.  Today I'm sharing a single & a double layout which features the Shine Bright collection...everything fun, fresh & modern with lots of circles, chevrons, triangles, yellow, black, white & gray colors sums this collection up.  The first layout documents my eldest daughter welcoming the new year.  She was a bit scared of the sparklers at first but got the hang of it & she had an amazing night to welcome the new year ahead.  What a magic night it was...perfect weather & all the kids with us were well behaved over 90% of the time.

I've layered a couple of papers for my background, & added a tiny touch of mediums & stamping.

I've cut out different phrases from the Buttercup paper & surrounded it around the layers of photos, circles & collectables.

I embossed the hello die cut from the collectables & the lowercase alphabet chipboard.  These chipboards are on sale at the shop...yay!

Add a few chevrons & arrows from the stamp set & sticker sheet here & there to finish it off.

The second one is a double layout which documents my youngest daughter's usual day of play at 15 months.  We bought a set of doctor's toy bag at the $2 shop, & she absolutely got into it.  She was really fixated on the stethoscope, she would play doctor to her dollies & everyone in the family, taking turns (so cute!).  This layout is jam packed with fun & color, & here it is:

For the background, I layered strips of 4 different Shine Bright papers.  I colored the specialty gloss paper with a bubblegum pink ink spray (making sure to water down some spots for a watercolor effect) & layered it on top of the strips.

I wanted to add some sparkle to this happy layout & it's very evident here,  using the copper glitter paste & Bubbles template.

All the layers under the photos are from the paper pad & collectables.  The printed tapes are from the sticker sheet, & I like how they come in different sizes.

The banners & tags from the collectables & sticker sheet are lined up under the photos, with the added waxed cord underneath.  The smaller chipboard are embossed silver & the bigger one misted.  I've added some glossy accents to the word "play" once the color has dried.  Journaling is written on a couple of the banners, & the layout is finished off with some light pink splatters & a few sparklets surrounding a photo.

It was fun creating these layouts, & the process of playing with colors is delightful for me.  Don't forget, you get a 20% discount if you purchase the full collection.  Thanks for popping in & enjoy your day!

See you again this month.

Christine S.
