Hi Everyone in Scrappyland - Robbi here

to show you the latest layout I have created using the Kaisercraft Collection "Time Machine"
I am really liking these papers and get the feeling they would wonderfully compliment Miss Betsy's Couture Collection
Is this the Male version? ...well I'm thinking so....Did Mr Betsy (Hugh) have a hand in what the papers should look like?

anyway I love them the greens and browns are perfect and truly lean to the vintage feeling that I crave for in so many layouts and projects .....however! .....I have not used this for a vintage layout I have used it for one of Myself (oh heck...yes I did) and Michael our Son from when we were on holiday on the Gold Coast and went to the Byron Bay Lighthouse

Papers used in this layout are the following
IronClad
Clocks
Mechanism
Sticker Sheet
and some cream and brown cardstock

I punched along one side of the papers and layered the cream cardstock and main base paper (Ironclad) over some Clocks paper and threaded some small strips of brown cardstock through the punch holes - I think its quite effective

The bag of "Collectables" are fantastic and well worth the $11 you pay for them, all the cogs, sayings and chippies are perfect for layering round or on the layout / item.

Don't ever forget to use the advertising banner strips now that Kaiser has started putting corresponding colours on them really they are a free embellishment

Have you had the opportunity to have a look and a play with these amazing papers yet? if not come on because trust me they wont last long....Fathers Day is just round the corner

I hope this blog post finds everyone well and looking forward to some beautiful warm summer days ahead so we can come out from under the winter blanket that just causes everyone to hibernate
When you read this post I will be in London and almost about to be jumping on the boat to the Mediterranean for 16 nights where I will be in awe of some of the worlds most amazing buildings and architecture - and yep I do have a supply of the Time Machine papers to use on my return for the photos I hope to have been able to get.
We then head over to Paris and I have already booked my ticket to go to the tip of the Eiffel Tower...although as much fun as it will be to go up this steel monster I am really thinking to stand back at a distance and take it all in has to be the best idea
Until Next Time and I bring you the Layout I have created using the Generations Collection then the latest gorgeous girly goodie from the Fairy Dust Collection

Holy Night Spectrum Noir Card - Louise

Hi :)  Louise here today to share a card made with the new Holy Night collection from KaiserCraft.
The colours in this collection are really quite traditional but that doesn't mean your card has to be traditional.  As you can see this card looks pretty modern because of the embellishments and image.

I have coloured the Lacy Sunshine image with Spectrum Noir markers and added some accents with Stickles.
I coloured the stars on the PJs with a gold pen.
I also punched a scalloped circle to mount the sentiment, which is part of the Holy Night collection, on.

Thanks loads for visiting today and be sure to check out all the goodies available in the Artfull Crafts shop.

Lisa - Time Machine layout & mini album

Good morning! Today I have a couple of things to share with you: a layout, and a mini album, both made using another of Kaisercraft's August ranges - Time Machine. Featuring lots of clocks, cogs & strong, dark colours, it's slightly steampunkish (which I love) and is a lot of fun to create with.

First up: a layout. I started with a base of chocolate-coloured cardstock with an appearance to it that resembles something a little like leather. The background papers were chosen for their great textural patterns-- Ironclad and Gadget. I decided to use other elements that added even more texture into the mix, such as the piece of hessian on the right, the cardboard cogs (coloured with Tim Holtz stains in various colours and then edged with black ink for dimension), pieces of stained & crumpled paper, wood veneer, stitching, as well as touches of gold, both smooth and glittery. Even my photograph has a mix of textures in it: the denim of my jeans, the leather of my boots, and the worn grain of the gorgeous wooden floorboards.

Combined, I think everything makes a great mix, and shows just how versatile this collection is. A closer shot of the the embellishment cluster is below:

My second project is a mini album, made from an old children's board book. I have to give some credit to my sister here, because she gave me the book, the pages of which she'd prepared with a variety of inks and paints, ready for a project she was planning that never eventuated. When I decided to make a mini album with this range, I remembered the book, and dug it out. ( A miracle in itself, because my studio is sometimes a black hole into which things mysteriously vanish, never to be seen again. ha!)

I added a range of papers from the collection to the covers and inside pages, covering the spine with some adhesive fabric tape that I have had for years -- possibly from Gypsy Road, though I'm not 100% sure. Like I said, YEARS. ;)  I also added a quote from the Gadget paper (the flip side, this time) to the front cover, mounting it on some metallic sticker paper and adding tiny metal brads to each corner.

On the inside pages, I adhered a selection of little "houses" which I made using a variety of papers from the range, along with other bits and pieces from my stash. (Numbers, photographic elements from the internet, stickers, and washi tape.) The houses vary in design, and are one of my favourite things to make. They're a little like ATC trading cards, without the restriction of having to be a standard size. I've made and swapped them with an artist friend in Canada before, which was a lot of fun. :)

Below are some closer detail shots of the inside pages:

And that's it! :) The Time Machine range is proving to be popular, and I can understand why-- I love it! You can find it online here

As always, thanks so much for looking, and I will see you again soon!

Cheers,
 Lisa :)

Scrapping Everyday Photos with A Touch of Gold

Hello!  Its nearly Spring yay!!!  It's Melissa here today, and I just wanted to stop in and show you how you can scrap everyday normal photos with a collection like Kaisercraft's new A Touch of Gold.  This collection is very much centred around Christmas and special occasions, but I choose to use it to scrap a photo of my baby sleeping.

I used white cardstock for my background, and stated with that lovely triangles paper.  When I have a paper I really love I make sure I feature it uncovered in a big block.  I layered my photo with some papers and a doily, and then built my layout from there.

Look for ways to be creative with your title.  I cut the word "LOVE" from one of the patterned papers, and then just added gold glitter foam thickers from my stash.

The "Love Peace Joy" is a Christmas sentiment, but also perfect for a sleeping baby!

Using my scallop border punch helped bridge the gap between the patterned paper and the cardstock.

You can purchase the collection in the online shop here.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of this beautiful day!

Lisa - Touch of Gold layouts

Hello! Lisa here, hoping that your weekend ahead is a fun, relaxing one. In my house, we're getting over winter colds and viruses, so "fun" is a vague concept somewhere on the horizon along with that elusive springtime. However, being confined to pretty much not more than the four walls of my house means that I've had plenty of time to get some crafting done, and that's NEVER a bad thing. :)

Today I have a couple of layouts to share with you, made using Kaisercraft's lovely Touch of Gold collection. With a monochrome base and touches of luxurious gold (always a winner for me!) this is a versatile, elegant range of papers.

My first layout starts with a base of gold-coloured cardstock spattered with black indian ink, upon which I've layered three designs from the range: Sheen (I used both sides of the paper) and Lavish. The photo was then attached on top, along with some of the Collectables, a cute camera charm from the Artfull Embellies range, and a wooden veneer ampersand.

A couple of detail shots below:

My second layout starts out with a base of plain white cardstock (always a favourite.) I used a polka-dot polaroid frame from the Collectables to frame my photo, and anchored it with a selection of borders from the small paper pad.  I hand-tore a piece from the Flashy paper (love those tiny metallic stars!) and added it to the bottom right. To finish, I added a cluster of various mix and match embellishments from my stash, introducing touches of pink and coral through the flowers.

A closer shot is below:

You can find the Touch of Gold range online here. Thanks for looking, and I'll see you again soon!

Cheers,
 Lisa :)

KaiserCraft Holy Night Collection Card - Louise

Hi Louise here and I am sharing a card made with the new KaiserCraft Holy Night collection today.  This collection is loaded full of rich, traditional Christmas colours.

I decided to go with an antique gold look on this card.....

The image is coloured with copic markers and prismacolor pencils.
I have outlined my paper layers with gold glitter stickles.  The collectable was also outlined with stickles and a small gold bow added.

There really isn't too much to say about this card, it is pretty simple with the image and papers doing all the work :)  The image is a digital stamp from Lacy Sunshine Stamps called Rejoice Angel.
Hope you enjoy my card and remember to check out out the Artfull Crafts Facebook Page for all the latest Artfull Crafts happenings.

The back view when all unfolded.

Mini albums from one 12x12 sheet of cardstock are so easy, quick and fun to make!
For this one I used a sheet of black cardstock.  Here is a link to a tutorial here.
I used the Collectables to embellish the pages and added some enamel dots, brads and ribbon.
These would make great gifts for Christmas or Birthdays!!

Christine S. - Time Machine

Hi there, Christine S. here.  Today I'm posting a layout created with the Time Machine collection.  Last week I've posted a couple of Father's Day cards with the same collection, & this time I'm sharing a layout with a punch of color.  These photos are taken year 1987...a fun & special moment back in time!

Childhood Memories

The base paper is Steam Engine & layered on top is the Hour specialty gloss paper.  Some texture paste has been added through the Damask template, one of the first template Kaiser has released & I still find myself using it over & over again.

5

A good addition of orange mist (which looks great through the specialty paper's gloss) has been added around the cut out Coggler paper.  I then traced a couple of large puzzle pieces on the Clocks paper & cut them out.  I just love the combination of teal & orange against the black.

7

Some pieces from the Collectables & sticker sheet (which has lots of versatile pieces) has been added throughout the photos.  It's all finished off with a Coral Paper Bloom, Artfull Embellies Butterflies Wooden Button, Jasmine Peach Paper Flower, cog chipboard & resin frame.
This layout is inspired by Kaisercraft's sketch & our challenge at Artfull Crafts which is Pens, Puzzles & Paint.  Do check it out & play along here for a chance to win some prizes.  We can't wait to see your beautiful entries!

A Touch of Gold Layouts - Melissa

Good morning, it's Melissa here and today I have two layouts made with Kaisercraft's new A Touch of Gold collection.  This collection is described as "embracing all things gold", and is elegantly paired with black and white.

My first layout features Brielle with her first baby doll, given to her by friends for Christmas.  I loved using this paper for my background, and decorated with printed garland with hand stitching and sequins.

Gold Colourshine was the perfect finishing touch!

I used the Collectable die cuts as features.

My second layout is about friend's that announced their engagement in Church one Sunday morning, and I captured the moment!  I cut down the photo to fit the die cut frame, and added a gold doily from Studio Calico.  The epoxy circles are made with clear epoxy stickers and punched circles from patterned paper.

I combined two of my favourite papers, and then made the banner by punching holes in the die cuts.

Even the negative space from the punch out star was used.

You can purchase the collection in the online shop here.

KaiserCraft Touch Of Gold Card - Louise

Hi, Louise here today to share a card made with the newly released Touch of Gold Collection by Kaisercraft.   I really love the fresh white, grey and gold in this collection and found it really easy to create with.

I have used a couple of pages from the 6x6 Touch of Gold pad, yellow and white cardstock and a tag from the ephemera pack.  The sticker is a clear sentiment sticker from Kaisercraft.  The flowers are from my large stash but you can find LOADS of lush flowers at Artfull Crafts HERE

I have coloured the image with copic markers and used a white pen for detailing.

Please excuse the eyes, I added glossy accent to them but it has turned hazy????  I think that bottle will be relegated to glue from now on.

Thanks for joining me today :)

Christine S. - Time Machine

Hi there, Christine S. here.  How's your week so far? We had some pea-sized hail for a few minutes the other day on a sunny winter afternoon.  My little one was quite amused & ended up eating a couple of ice while I was rushing to get all my washing from the line.  She's so curious & hilarious...so adorable.

Today I'm posting a couple of Father's Day cards featuring the awesome Time Machine collection by Kaisercraft.  I love the touches of teal against the black & brown shades of this collection, very fitting for masculine projects.  Here's the first card:

Father's Day Card

The Steam Engine paper is the base & the inspiration of the layers of this card.  I've cut out some images from the Clocks & Coggler papers, then added a piece of acetate & cog from the collectables.

007

It's all finished off with some die cut tools added through some rope.  You can request the My Favourite Things Tool Charms die at the shop.  Next is a mixed media card:

Celebrate Your Day

I've used a thick black cardstock as a base.  Some pieces are cut out from the Hour Glass, Coggler & Gadget papers, then layered among some cogs from the sticker sheet & collectables.

011

Have you seen the Artfull Embellies yet? There's a good variety at the shop, & in here I've added the Navy Waxed Cord, Silver Ball Chains Silver Wood Saw.

Get transported back in time with beautifully detailed timepieces from the Time Machine collection, so do check it out here.  It's perfect for any Father's Day (which is just around the corner) projects.  Thanks so much for dropping by & enjoy the rest of your week!

Until Then,

Christine S.

Christine S. - A Touch of Gold

Hi there, how are you today? Christine S. here posting an off the page project featuring Kaisercraft's new August collection A Touch of Gold.  It has lots of delicious gold foil with fun geometric shapes and beautifully worded phrases that will add a touch of glamour to any project & is very versatile.  For this project I've used Kaisercraft's Multi Purpose Box.  It is available at the shop upon request & is also currently 20% off.  I love storage & it was fun creating with this box paired with the delightful A Touch of Gold collection.  Grab a cuppa & let's take a good look at this fun & functional box.

014

A Touch of Gold has 4 different gorgeous Foil Specialty Papers (Doily Diecut, Pinstripe, Confetti & Christmas Words) which I've incorporated in this storage box.

022

I've colored the edges with a metallic gelato which goes nicely with the gold, white & black color scheme of the collection.  You actually don't need to apply much, & it gives the box a really nice finish.

017

I've cut out a couple of framed phrases from the Lavish paper & added them to the front & right sides of the box.

024

A coat of good ol' Stickles was added to a Kaisercraft wood flourish & is added to a small cluster with a die cut piece from the Collectables & some left over wire from an awesome Louise Nelson class I attended to at SENZ.

020

I've added splashes of black paint on some sides of the box, which is also inspired by our August challenge: Paint, Pens and Puzzles.  You can tell that my inky fingers & paint brush had fun with this project! Do check out the challenge here & the prize for this month's winner are these papers.  A choice prize indeed.

018

The other papers I've used from the collection here are: Glitz, Deluxe, Sheen & Gleam.

029

I love how the Doily Specialty paper is gold foiled as well, so delish! On this cluster are layers of die cuts from the Collectables & a gold foiled word cut out from the Christmas word paper.

             032   039

The dividers are prettied up on both sides with papers as well from the same collection, & some left over papers from my stash of Kaiser's Shine Bright collection & My Mind's Eye's Fancy That collection (there's still a few bits & pieces from these ranges that are available at the shop).
You get a 15% off discount if you purchase the full A Touch of Gold collection here.  Thanks for dropping in & I hope you enjoyed looking at my project.  Keep an eye out for more inspiration from the awesome design team members.  Have a great month ahead! :)

Cheers,

Christine S.
